POS Software allows a merchant to process electronic transactions without buying or leasing a credit card terminal. Most of the softwares available also offer additional benefits over the credit card terminals, such as automated billing and customized reporting. These softwares are installed on the PC used at the point of sale, and a card reader is installed as well. A printer is then installed, allowing for the printing of receipts for customer signature.
